Previous Meetings
21 September 2024
The meeting scheduled for 21 September 2024 was postponed due to the absence of a Dean from 22 August. The next meeting of the DPC will be on Thursday 21 November at St Joseph’s, Whitnash CV31 2JJ. Mass at 7pm. Meeting commences 7.30pm. By invitation only for members of the Deanery Pastoral Council.

The parishes will be grouped into 4 clusters known as Leamington, Rugby, Bicester & Banbury and Stratford-upon-Avon.

Over 40 lay representatives and parish priests/ deacons met for the first meeting in Bicester on 8 May 2024. The minutes are available: Banbury and Warwick Deanery Pastoral Council Meeting. 8 May 2024.
Each Parish should meet with the parish priests before 31 October to share how parishes within the cluster can support each other in fulfilling the Diocesan Vision. A report of the findings will be provided to the meeting of the DPC on 21st November.
In order to obtain accurate, current factual information from each parish to inform and support possible future changes in parishes, a questionnaire was distributed on 20th September for completion by the Parish Priest and lay members of the DPC with support from others in the parish as agreed. The questionnaire should be submitted, please, by 31 October, to enable an analysis to be shared at the DPC meeting on 21 November.
Initial meetings – Autumn 2023/Spring 2024
Initial meetings between clergy and laity from parishes who wished to attend were held in Autumn 2023/Spring 2024 in the North and South of the deanery. These developed into the constitution of a Deanery Pastoral Council, including all the clergy of the deanery and two lay representatives from each parish. It is anticipated that there will be 3-4 meetings in 2025. The President is the Dean and the Chair is currently Peter Rand, Kenilworth Parish.
