Coventry Marriage Care – Volunteers needed: Could it be you? Marriage Care is a Catholic organisation providing marriage preparation and relationship counselling services through 50 centres across England and Wales. The Coventry Centre is seeking Marriage Preparation Course Facilitators to present and facilitate marriage preparation courses to small groups of engaged couples. The centre is also looking for Qualified Counsellors. Additionally we need Receptionists for counselling, and a Head of Centre to lead and support our team of facilitators, counsellors and receptionist. Marriage Care will provide all the training needed for the role, and you’ll be volunteering with like-minded people. On Thursday 26 September at St Peter’s hosted the opening event of the Deanery Visitation by Archbishop Bernard Longley and his assistant Bishop William Kenney. The Archbishop joined clergy and parishioners from all the churches in the Warwick Deanery in Evening Prayer and met many of them afterwards in the Parish Hall. During the Visitation visits each parish has the opportunity to offer a snapshot of the life of the Christian community in their locality.

2015-16 Archdiocese Year of Mercy link
During the Year of Mercy St Peter’s in Leamington Spa has been designated at the Jubilee Church for our area. We have a Holy Door which is beautifully decorated with white flowers in an arch over the entrance door. There are lots of opportunities while in the church to light a candle, write a prayer, read about the work of the church in Leamington and around the world. It is always a very prayerful atmosphere. as well as information on the Jubilee Indulgence.
Fr Noel Breslin (at St Peter’s) in one of the Assistant Missionaries of Mercy and is available by appointment for Confessions and spiritual guidance.
Each weekday the church is open between 10 am and 5 pm. Occasional closure of the church may be due to maintenance or problem individuals.
On Saturday the Church is open from 9am on Saturday to 6pm, on Sunday from 8 am to 7 pm.
Also in the Piety Shop there are a number of items to commemorate the Year of Mercy.
Some Special Year of Mercy Events at St Peter’s are:
Sunday Afternoon Exposition of the Blessed sacrament and Confession from 3-4pm
Confessions on Saturdays 10.30 – 11.15 am and 4.15 – 4.45pm. Also by appointment. At confession we promote the Jubilee Indulgence and provide a prayer and information card about it together with a Medal of Mercy (which is a Miraculous Medal sewn to a ribbon).

Fatima Centenary News. Sunday 26th November marks the end of the Centenary Year commemorating Our Lady’s apparitions at Fatima in 1917. There will be exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from 3pm to 4pm, ending with the rosary, at St. Peter, Leamington Spa, CV32 5AE, a pilgrimage church of our Archdiocese during the Fatima Centenary Year. There will be a light refreshment after the service. All welcome.
